The Hall of Leaders recognises exceptional individuals in our industry who have transformed the global meetings, conventions, exhibitions and travel industry.
When writing your nomination, craft a story that includes examples and measurable results showing the person’s deep and lasting impact on our industry at a global scale.
Can multiple people work on a nomination?
Yes! We encourage you to work with others on the nomination. This can help save time and provide diverse perspectives.
Nomination Tips

Review all questions prior to beginning the nomination process.

Work with others to gather data points, achievements, past awards and anything else that will contribute to the narrative.

Gather all relevant information and begin crafting a narrative that best positions your candidate for the award.

Whenever possible, include data points, specific examples or other information that will help the judges understand why your candidate is best suited for the award.Start early and give yourself enough time to complete the nomination without being rushed. We recommend at least two to three weeks before the deadline.

For the Hall of Leaders, include letters of recommendation from at least two EIC members.

Influence on the Industry: Help shape our understanding of this nominee’s influence and broad impact on the industry.
Please remember to share specific examples and measurable aspects of this influence/broad impact. It is not essential each questions below be answered however addressing the overarching narrative with specific examples is key.
1. Thinking about their entire career, describe the nominee's most defining contributions that have shaped the global meetings, conventions, exhibitions (MICE) and travel industry, and how their unique qualifications and accomplishments—both within their organisation and beyond—have impacted the industry as a whole.
2. Highlight the significance and lasting effects of their contributions on the broader business events ecosystem. What aspects of their legacy continue to influence our industry? Have they won any other events industry awards?
3. What role has the nominee played in creating and championing specific programmes or concepts for the global business events/MICE industry that elevated the profession?
4. Describe the nominee’s innovation in original ideas, techniques, services, or products that have had a broad impact on the industry.
Leadership: Highlight the nominee’s leadership experience and skills.
1. Describe the nominees’ leadership roles within the events industry and how these positions help to advance the industry, for example inspire others, built strong business relationships, encouraged the mentoring emerging professionals, and foster broader industry success.
2. Provide specific examples of how their leadership has created lasting positive impact on individuals and organisations within the events community.
Collaboration: Tell us about the nominee’s experience and success collaborating with others uniting for greater impact.
1. Describe the nominee's effectiveness in building new business relationships, partnerships, and alliances for the benefit of our industry.
2. Describe the nominee's accomplishments in sharing their knowledge and information on their contributions for the success of our industry.
Contributions to society: Illustrate the nominee’s contributions to society either thru their work as an industry professional or personally demonstrating the values aligned with our sector.
