The EIC Pacesetter Award recognises emerging leaders whose recent accomplishments and forward-thinking approach are helping to shape the future of the global business events industry.

 

Whereas the Hall of Leaders honours lifetime achievement, the Pacesetter Award celebrates individuals who are demonstrating exceptional leadership early in their careers through innovation, collaboration and measurable impact. These leaders are introducing new ideas, programmes or approaches that elevate the profession and drive progress across the meetings, conventions, exhibitions and travel ecosystem.

 

Pacesetter Award recipients are recognised for their ability to inspire others, cultivate the next generation of profess.

Pacesetter Award Submission Questions (click on questions to expand)

Recent Industry Impact. Describe the nominee’s most significant recent contributions to advancing the global business events industry. (max 500 words)

Include:

  • Programmes, initiatives, innovations or ideas they have led or championed

  • How these efforts have elevated the profession or improved industry outcomes

  • Evidence of impact (data points, adoption, recognition, or measurable results)

Leadership & Professional Growth. Describe the nominee’s leadership within the events industry.

Include:

  • Leadership roles or responsibilities they have taken on

  • Specific actions that have driven success within their organisation or the broader industry

  • How they demonstrate initiative, vision or courage as an emerging leader

Mentorship & Industry Engagement. How has the nominee contributed to developing and supporting others in the industry? (max 400 words)

Include:

  • Mentoring or cultivating the next generation of professionals

  • Thought leadership, education, or knowledge-sharing

  • Efforts that help strengthen the professional community

Collaboration & Industry Advancement. Describe how the nominee has collaborated with others to advance the industry. (max 350 words)

Include:

  • Partnerships or alliances they helped build

  • How they incorporated diverse perspectives in their initiatives

  • How collaboration strengthened the impact of their work
