Recognizes emerging leaders with a proven track record of successful leadership and whose forward thinking and innovative approach led to groundbreaking changes (or actions) that are making an impact on advancing the industry today.

 

Whereas the Hall of Leaders recognition programme honours lifetime achievement, the Pacesetter Award celebrates emerging leaders and their recent accomplishments. 

Can multiple people work on a nomination?

Yes! We encourage you to work with others on the nomination. This can help save time and provide diverse perspectives.

 

Nomination Tips

  • Review all questions prior to beginning the nomination process.

  • Work with others to gather data points, achievements, past awards and anything else that will contribute to the narrative.

  • Collect a bio and letter of recommendation for the nominee. 

  • Gather all relevant information and begin crafting a narrative that best positions your candidate for the award.

  • Whenever possible, include data points, specific examples or other information that will help the judges understand why your candidate is best suited for the award.Start early and give yourself enough time to complete the nomination without being rushed. We recommend at least two to three weeks before the deadline.

  • We recommend compiling your answers in a separate document then cutting and pasting your answers into the online form.

Influence on the Industry: Help shape our understanding of this nominee’s influence on the industry

1. What is the nominee's most defining contribution to the global meetings, conventions, exhibitions (MICE) and travel industry including any specific programmes or concepts they've championed that have elevated the profession? Describe the significance and impact of these contributions on influencing, shaping and increasing success for our industry.

Leadership: Highlight the nominee’s leadership experience and skills

1. Describe the nominee’s service in a leadership role within the events industry and the specific contributions the nominee has made that brought success to the events industry this year.

2. How has the nominee inspired and encouraged others within our industry, particularly in mentoring and cultivating the next generation of leaders for our industry?

Collaboration: Tell us about the nominee’s experience and success collaborating with others 

1. How effectively has the nominee built new partnerships or consensus for the benefit of our industry?

2. What are the nominee's accomplishments in sharing their knowledge and information on their contributions for the success of our industry?
